He has worked intimately with directors John Sayles, Oliver Stone, Tim Story, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Peter Segal, and Mark Tinker. He also spent 4 years at The National Playwrights Conference at The Eugene O’Neill Center and 2 years at The Sundance Theater Lab working closely with playwrights, John Patrick Shanley, August Wilson, David Feldshuh, and Jim Yoshimura.
Tom is slated to direct his first feature film in ’08, a father and son drama starring David Strathairn and Woody Harrelson.AARON C. JOHNSON SR., Script Coach. Aaron Johnson, screenwriter / producer broke new ground as a screenwriter in his first competition in the Urban Insider 555-Shorts screenplay competition. He then went on to further his career as a filmmaker directing and producing commercials, music videos and several documentaries . While serving as a producer for Triple Crown Publications, Tom took Aaron under his wing and hired him as a writer for a project slated for Snoop Dogg. A short list of clients are Microsoft, Salesians Boys and Girls Club, Social Capital Films and the Ohio Commission on African-American Males. As a writer and script coach, Aaron is set to work with several Essence Best Selling authors to adapt their books to scripts and film.
