Shady P.'s Soundclick Profile
Why this name?
I'm a shady character. The "P" stands for more than one thing. It doesn't only stand for "Pinoy."
Do you play live?
Sure, if I have time, that is...
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Not having to pay for exposure and publication benefits aspiring, low-budget musicians such as myself. On the other hand, mp3's and p2p file-sharing networks drastically increases the rate of piracy and copyright infringements. To make things simple...The internet is good for independent artists, bad for mainstream.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
There was a time when that was all I cared about. Whatever happens...happens. I'm really not too concerned about it anymore. But if opportunity comes knockin' at my door, why the hell not?
Band History:
I first got into rap music when I was 12. At an impressionable age, of course I went along w/ the urge to write raps of my own. It wasn't until I was 16 when I started recording songs. A year later, a friend of mine got me into beatmaking. Now, I make my own beats and produce for other acts on the side. Through the years, I've learned how to work as a true independent artist. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Anything else...?
Special thanks go out to the people who helped me out when I first started. They taught me everything I know! And of course, I can't forget my friends/fans who support me and my music. Thanks to all the haters and critics, too. Don't worry, I'll keep uppin' the ante!
