Falls & Regis have been in bands with each other forever. They met at school and became firm friends after recognising in each other a deep desire to fuck-about and to have as little as possible to do with the real world, being grown up or responsibility. After a lot of sitting around the pair relocated to London and hooked up for what has become a labour of love, a sprawling musical magpie that steals a lot and shits on the rest, Falls & Regis.
For the last few years they have concentrated on moving as slowly as is humanly possible, sometimes writing a single hi-hat sound in a 16 hour session before scrapping it, returning to the drawing board dreaming of how to sample a horse falling down a spiral staircase. Some Falls & Regis tracks have taken almost a lifetime to complete, none of those were included on their debut release 'Pieces' / 'C U Next Time' on Absent Music or their recent 'Done Up Like A Vicar' EP out on myuzyk.net. Kicking the guitars into touch for the 7 track outing that collected together their MPC adventures and featuring a cornucopia of styles (about two) 'Done Up Like A Vicar' is the sound of technical confusion multiplied by a large amount of cake and magic beans.
Described by German Reggae sensation John McJazz as 'Souless Shite', Falls & Regis's stylish ineptitude and stunning lack of ability has already gained them a fan.
This week Falls & Regis recommend Pivot IN THE BLOOD
