Peg Leg Deer encompasses my artistic body of work. I prefer to use silkscreen, spray paint, and acrylic, but more recently my preferences have depended on what I can afford. The concepts behind the images i use deal in part with the construction of identity through material goods, and life in a consumer utopia. However, the characters I use to convey my message are often viewed as playful in nature and thus become camouflaged social commentary. Right now I'm working on new pieces and sometimes I try to do freelance design/illustration work, because unfortunately, I can't survive on words of praise alone. Recently, I've developed a line of buttons that feature images and characters from my work.
