On a cold January day, Jamie Smith came into the world. Within a few days, her biological mother went back to work and left her in the care of her grandparents. At the innocent age of five years old, she was adopted by the loving grandparents that soon became her Mom and Dad.She was raised on the outskirts of Birmingham, Alabama in the small town of Warrior. There, she grew up excelling in school and going to church every Sunday. It was in that little church that Jamie Smith accepted her destiny as a singer. Her God given talent was evident to not only her, but those around her.As a teenager, she began traveling and singing gospel music. Her voice was undeniable. Many people in the local area stated, "She has the voice of an Angel!". Jamie accepted their applause with humility and a grateful heart. Nonetheless, she remained dedicated to her school work and received scholarships to local colleges.Jamie's life took many twists and turns after her only marriage ended in divorce and left her with a handsome son, whom she is now raising as a single mother, while pursuing a degree in nursing. Dave Fowler (Nashville Producer) heard this incredible voice through Phillip David Harris who is a published Nashville songwriter and life long friend of Jamie's. Dave expressed great intrest in working with this talented young lady without hesitation. Soon after, Music City got a pleasant surprise when this small town girl from Alabama walked into a studio on Music Row and started recording songs by Nashville's top songwriters. And the rest...will be history!
