I saw my first Yes concert when I was 19 years old after only having heard the songs that had radio airplay and the live album that was made before that time. The person who took me told me to listen to it a few times and see if I liked the rest of the music. When it came time to go to the concert I had picked out a few other songs on the album that I thought were good. The first song they played at The Philadelphia Spectrum in 1979 was Siberian Khatru. To this day. I can feel the excitement that I felt when they did the intro for the song and especially, I can see the stage starting to spin at the moment when Chris and Rick started in together.
I remember all of the excitement around the fact that Rick was returning to the band. Girls were bringing him roses to place on his piano. Needless to say. That concert is what made me a True Yes Lifer.
Greetings to all of the rest of you who feel the same as I do. I will write more about other shows I've seen. Hmmmmmmm So many since 1979, I can't count them all anymore. But, I hope we can enjoy the memories together. Thanks for visiting. Mariann
