Embryo is a Los Angeles based Record Producer & Song Writer. Born in Brasov, Romania December 31st, 1981. He arrived with his family in the United States at the age of 2. Embryo had a passion and interest in music at a very young age. Growing up in a very artistic & musically influenced home, it was no suprise that he would eventually develop an interest in music. He begin learning Classical Violin at the age of 7. After a few years his interest shifted into the Piano & Keyboard. He begin teaching himself basic piano chords by ear through mimicking & replaying popular Top 40 songs. During Junior High School he started to embrace Hip Hop & Rap music. He began writing lyrics, poems, raps and joining classmates in Freestyle Rap sessions. When Embryo was in High School he had an interest to learn how to DJ. His fascination grew in House, Drum & Bass & Trance music. By the age of 17, he was already spinning at some of the hottest 21 & Over clubs in Hollywood and also in Northern California (San Jose, San Francisco). Known in the Club & Rave circuit as DJ Embryo. The name was chosen for his early phase of development in the DJ community.Upon leaving High School and going to College (1999) , he begin learning about the production side of music. He was interested in learning how to make his own music. So he called up a friend of his Brian "Prophecy of P.A.N.I.C." Scroggins. Brian was a local producer & Live performer who was popular in the Trance Music circuit & Rave Scene. With the help of his friend and mentor, he made his very first Hip Hop beat. With a new motivation and passion for music, the DJ was dropped from his moniker, thus Embryo was born. During the first year and half Embryo was learning his craft and sharpening his skills. Primarily working on Hip Hop & Rap beats. During that time a demo beat CD of his circulated around and caught the attention of different up and coming Hip Hop/Rap artists. So he started working with these artists and learning how to actually produce and write. Over the course of the next few years, Embryo expanded his craft by working with Alternative Rock, Electronic Music, Pop, Dance Music and just about everything in between. Always driven to improve his sound and knowledge of all types of music.Within the last 5 years, Embryo has worked with the likes of many known and up & coming artists ranging from pop to rock to hip hop and dance music. He is currently working on the debut EP from Nylon Pink and just finished Executive Producing the Music Video for their first single "Lipstick". He is currently working on the debut of former Interscope/Star Trak recording artist Vanessa Marquez.
