About Me

So I am John and I am 39. But damn, you wouldn't know it, would you? I live in Virginia, again. Came back from Hawaii, after a year and a half trying to make a marriage work. She stayed, I left. But, I should've stayed. Anyway...startin' over. I learned a long time ago that from Arnold that, "milk is for babies, beer is for men." And, to this day, I still live by that motto. I was born in Louisiana, lived in places like Sacramento, California; New Delhi, India; Honolulu, Hawaii, and of course, Woodbridge, Virginia. I was an Air Force brat, so that's why I moved around. Since 1989, I have lived with an illness called Crohn's Disease. Now, it may be an illness to a lot of people, but for me, it is just a built in "gastric bypass" issue. Some things I loved to eat in the past, I just can't. Crohn's, to me, is a form of cancer. All I can do, is get treated for it. Have had one surgery 6 years ago. Some people aren't as lucky as me. They get it much worse and require repeated surgeries. I still live and eat as if I don't have this problem. But, I get reminded of it every time I want a huge taco salad. Damn it! I am a nostalgic music person. I like my Aerosmith, Jackyl, Van Halen, Soundgarden, INXS, Candlebox, Tora, Tora, Tora; along with some of the recent stuff. I like Country, like Tim McGraw, Martina, Carrie and Brad Paisley. Just bought a guitar, gonna learn this "'ol" dog a new hobby. Man is it tough on the fingers! Big fan of Everybody loves Raymond. My work leaves coming home to Letterman (he is so much more funnier than Leno), and Extreme Home Makeover. Which I think is something everyone should try and do. Big companies and the Fed should do more of. I am a golfer, and I really think I could stay with Tiger...through most of a round.hehe ...and not to mention a spinal fusion and two shoulder surgeries. I recently have listened to this one Tim McGraw CD over and over, especially a couple of songs. The first one's title, "Live like you were Dying", song about his father, ride a bull for 2.7 seconds, go skydiving, be a friend a friend can count on, lend a helping hand, that says it all. The other song has a line it that says, "don't let a perfect world pass you by." Well, we may not live in a perfect world, but we could live in a better one. Don't talk about it, don't think about it, DO IT! Arnold Is Coming
