I'm playing DRUMZ in a Classic Rock/R&B band, "DELTA HOUSE" for three years now. We are available for clubs, private/corporate gigs and weddings. Our web site is:
http://deltahouse.info
http://myspace.com/deltahouseMy drum influences are:The great Buddy Rich, James Brown's drummers:Melvin Parker, Clyde Stubblefield, John "Jabo" Starks. Benny Benjamin: "Motown", Keith Moon,Tommy Aldridge, Jeff Porcaro, Ansley Dunbar, Leonard Hayes & Troy Luccketta, William Calhoun, Denny Carmassi & ANIMAL.
I was born in San Francisco, ( the same day as Mick Jagger), just 17 years later , the city by the bay, with rock & roll music as diverse as the various cultures.
Experiencing the sights and sounds of the city during the 60's & 70's contributed to my musical influences. From the heavy back beat of Motown, to the variety of psychedelic rock, the funk of the 70's R&B, to the wide spectrum of arena rock,
With determination & hunger, I taught myself to play drums on practice pads & pillows or anything else I could beat on .
I played along with my favorite records blasting on over my stereo. I watched & learned from local drummers now turned mega drummers like Leonard Haze & Troy Luccketta.
In 76' pursuant to my dreams, I started my first band in Fremont, "AMP", playing on an old 4 piece trap kit with beaten cracked cymbals and with two high school buddies on guitars only, where we played in garages & local house parties. This is where I picked up my nick name "Dream Weaver" from the song of the same name.
From 78' til now, I've been in various bands with my brother :"Mick Flaire" and Long time guitarist Ken younger (now of The Dead Guise.)I have also taken part in various recordings. My last band:The Hunger, came very close to real success with interest from Sony Records. However, it was not to be and I found myself moving from "Oaktown" to the ATL in 98, I took a few years off, It took me a while to drop back into the music scene again, when I had found a reggae/variety band "Crucial Dread" and The Whooping Cranes, plus a R&B group "The B.G. Family Band" to keep me busy, but now I'm achieving my musical dreams once more with DELTA HOUSE.The Muppet Show: Buddy Rich Vs. Animal
