Motive, power, and action, arising from Inspiration and Impulse.
The Lovers represents intuition and inspiration. Very often a choice needs to be made.
Originally, this card was called just LOVE. And that's actually more apt than "Lovers." Love follows in this sequence of growth and maturity. And, coming after the Emperor, who is about control, it is a radical change in perspective. LOVE is a force that makes you choose and decide for reasons you often can't understand; it makes you surrender control to a higher power. And that is what this card is all about. Finding something or someone who is so much a part of yourself, so perfectly attuned to you and you to them, that you cannot, dare not resist. This card indicates that the you have or will come across a person, career, challenge or thing that you will fall in love with. You will know instinctively that you must have this, even if it means diverging from your chosen path. No matter the difficulties, without it you will never be complete.
people who keep an open mind, like to have fun and can be a little crazy at times... ;)
one word... eclectic... there's just too much to name it all... but my favorite band is Led Zeppelin... my favorite recently discovered bands are Interpol, Wolfsheim and Tigers & Monkeys... my favorite band whose guitarist i know personally is Morning :) there is almost no type of music that i don't like to at least some degree... and my musical interests are expanding every day
Queen of the Damned (i can watch it over and over again)... Smokey and the Bandit, The Party (hilarious), Red Dragon, The Breakfast Club, Strangeland, Labyrinth, Secretary, Only You, Underworld, Van Helsing, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Pride and Prejudice, How High, History of the World (and all other Mel Brooks movies)... To Be or Not to Be (the Mel Brooks version AND the original, which is even better) almost anything with Jim Carrey, The Phantom of the Opera, basically anything with Bruce Lee, Jet Li, or Jackie Chan, and Kevin Smith movies (Clerks II was awesome)... to name a few
Buffy, Angel, Charmed, Law & Order and SVU, CSI, Nip/Tuck, Family Guy, South Park, Zena, Hercules, Firefly... grew up without TV so i haven't seen a lot
Anything by Marion Chesney, Mary or Carol Higgins Clark, or Jeffery Deaver... Dean Koontz is good, as well as Sue Grafton, Harlan Coben, Marion Zimmer Bradley... also myths, legends and folklore... and anything that i can learn something from (browsing through the children's non-fiction section is always fun)... favorite children's books "The Maggie B", "Out of the Ordinary" and "Taddy McFinley and the Great Grey Grimly"... books on tape or CD work for in the car... depending on the narrator, of course; George Guidall, for example, and the "Cat Who..." series by Lilian Jackson Braun
Bill my one and only, my uncle Johnny the genius, and i guess my mom, for raising eight kids (even if we are all completely nuts)
