About Me

Marybeth Almendros is a remarkable soulful vocalist from Argentina who can sing just about anything. Her voice sounds like a cross between Norah Jones and Roberta Flack. Not only is she a versatile singer and highly experienced professional, but Marybeth has a down to earth like attitude that makes her certain to please her audiences. She is also an accomplished pianist and has performed in many bands over the years across America, Africa and Middle East.Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she inherited her passion for music at an early age. Marybeth was very keen on music and started to learn piano and guitar with different private teachers. At the age of eighteen, she eventually developed her passion for singing. As she finished high school she started private tuition in voice, piano and musical theory. She started musical partnership with guitarist Ariel Argañaraz, which turned out to be fruitful, performing at many restaurants, pubs, hotels and the most exclusive places from Buenos Aires and all Argentina. She also played with Oscar Giunta, Guillermo Calliero, Gustavo Cámara, Hugo García, Carlos Michelini, among others. In 2001, she headed to Tel Aviv. While living there, she took lessons with many authorities in contemporary vocal jazz and also started to performed with her own band at the most populars jazz clubs in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Other international experiences include performing overseas in South Africa, Spain and Brasil. At her return in Buenos Aires in 2006, she went back singing pop, r&b, jazz, and tango, and also she’s actually performing at the musical “Tributo a Madonna” in a famous theater at Av. Corrientes in Buenos Aires.
