Young S.P's Biography
---------------------------------------------------
The overindulgence of pop music sensibilities has forced Hip Hop music to once again turn to it's youth for a regeneration of skills and street music values. Shay Paul Anderson, (born August, 1994), better known by his stage name Young S.P. is the solution to the dilemma, but a major problem for all acts who rely on smoke machines and flashiness to mask their lack of rhyming abilities. These qualities and respect for the art are the reason Young S.P. is going directly to the top. As a pure lyricist cut from the same cloth as Relly B, Bam Bam & Nigie Nige, the 14-year old prodigy honed his abilities in rap challenges all over his community in the North End of Halifax. He has yet to lose. "I've been writing rhymes since I was 13", states Young S.P. "I rapped at first as a hobby but as skill walked passed my eyes, I followed it". "He's just young and creative and not only does he rap but he's great with graphic design, acting, producing & of course his ability to write his own lyrics" adds Larissa Quigley. "He can freestyle for hours on end, but he also has a large vocabulary. He knows how to blend words for effect in battles or songs. I have all the faith in the world in him." Young S.P. has matured a lot since he started taking rap music seriously in the early part of 2009. Young S.P. and Rubber Band Gang have grown a name for themselves among there peers in the North End of Halifax. Young S.P. is determined and shall proceed on his goal to provide the equally appreciated, haters and fans solid enjoyable music.
