Politics (probably shouldn't have put that one first, but it was either that or eating and either way I sound boring), eating, sleeping, music, having a laugh with my friends, Pimms o'clock, watching TV, cute things like cats and pokemon, watching football.
The Springwatch/Autumnwatch team, Anyone from Big Brother, The owner of Cadbury's.
Rock and Pop, a lovely combination. My favourite artists are Tool and Britney Spears, but amongst others I also really like Deftones, Christina Aguilera, Nine Inch Nails, Funeral For a Friend, Lucy Silvas, Tori Amos, A.F.I, Bullet For My Valentine, Pink Floyd, A Perfect Circle, Kelly Klarkson, Incubus, 36Crazyfists, Celine Dion, Coheed & Cambria, Jeff Buckley, Imogen Heap, Story of the Year, Slipknot, Girls Aloud and Jimmy Eat World. I'll leave it at that for now, nobody likes huge lists.
Can't say I'm a big fan of movies or films as we say in the U.K. I find most films to be too long, too stupid, too predictable or contain too much singing & dancing. But perhaps I just haven't seen enough films; I'm open to be converted. My favourite films are Titanic, The Lion King and Gladiator.
Ooh yes I like television, much more my scene. Soccer AM followed by Soccer Saturday. I like comedies (NOT anything American that comes in the form of a series), but stuff like Blackadder, Bottom and Only Fools and Horses. I also enjoy programmes that enable us to laugh at others' misfortune such as What Not To Wear, Grumpy Old Men/Women, and UK's Worst Hotel, Public Toilet, Motorway, or whatever. Also Deal or No Deal and The Crystal Maze are quite good time-wasters, and occasionally combine the element of laughing at other people's misfortune.
I greatly enjoy reading, at the moment I'm on Fever Pitch by Nick Hornby. If I had to pick one book to recommend it would be 'Ice Road' by Gillian Slovo, a really inspiring tale about life under the harsh Soviet regime. My favourite magazine is definitely Private Eye; its satirical view of British Politics never fails to make me laugh. The Independent is my preferred daily newspaper, Simon Carr, Johan Hari and Deborah Ross are three of my favourite columnists. On a lighter note, the Shopoholic series of books by Sophie Kinsella have been firm holiday favourites of mine. Z)
