About Me

HoHoe Christian Orphan’s Home was opened five years ago by a kind hearted and generous man named Nicholas Abibu Koku Victus. Nicholas moved to HoHoe to work as the tourism director but was troubled by the number of homeless and abandoned children he saw on the streets. Most of the children were orphans and many were in dire situations trying to survive. So from his own pocket he opened and has supported the orphanage, often fasting and praying for support. The orphanage started with 30 orphans but has grown to currently care for over 80 children ages 1 to 16 years old. With donations from local vendors, and donors like you, Nicholas is able to employ 4 house mothers and 2 teachers to help care for the children. Nicholas works tirelessly to raise awareness and support for the children. He starts his day at 6 am with the children, making sure everyone is healthy and well, works a full day as tourism director, returns at night to work out any problems and sing to the children, then he heads to the orphanage office to manage the books and other affairs, often working late into the night. He is managing the construction of the new orphanage, starting the adoption program, calling and emailing volunteers and donors all over the world, and somehow still has time to follow the local soccer games!,, Above all, Nicholas believes in and follows God and has a love for the children that won’t ever stop until all the children are smiling.
