I love to build businesses. I've been an entrepreneur since I was a very young boy. My family use to tell me that I would always wheel and deal with them and friends. You can say I've done this out of passion for the industry or perhaps it’s 2nd nature. I’m a business man by nature and a Computer Engineer by education. I love my family and I would do anything for them to see them succeed.
Unfortunately, I am only one of the 3% that think outside the box. So I am on a quest to make a difference in their lives, because I have come to a conclusion that it’s NEVER ABOUT MONEY, it’s about helping others with that money to feed them into a system to break the media driven negativeness.
I've built many businesses and currently I have 3 that are producing a stream of income that comes in whether I work them or not. These businesses are enough for me to live on my own without depending on a J.O.B. (Just Over Broke).
But, as many entrepreneurs, I got bored, so I was on a quest to find a system to help others. I looked into network marketing and a lot of other businesses alike. I’ve been involved with Multi-Level-Marketing for a long time since I was 18. I have nothing against the business model. The approach I get from most negative people is “Isn’t that one of those pyramid things.” So I return the question, “What do you mean by pyramid?”. They reply “you know where people at the top make all the money.” I again return the question, “Vanessa, where do you currently work?” She replies, “I work at Hewlett-Packard.” I respond, “So what you’re telling me is that at Hewlett-Packard there is a guy at the top making all the money (CEO, then a president, then a vice president etc.) That to me sounds like a pyramid (they are leveraging you). Look a pyramid is everywhere. It is even behind a 1 dollar bill Vanessa. It is what this country was founded on.” Pyramid response squashed.
On my 3rd MLM company, I found Pre-Paid Legal Services. Hands down for over 35 years in the business, Pre-Paid Legal has the best educational system put together as far as network marketing. The 10 core commitments. The product makes sense and it is something everyone needs. It’s for the masses and the classes. I have nothing bad to say about the company, but it will require a great hustle. Like any other business it’s a game of numbers. Since August of last year I only made $1500 trying to do it part-time. My mentor Bob Snyder "The General"(in the pics) says only 1% of people in MLMs make over $1000. That slapped me in the face and by the advice of Chad Wade, he said focus. I can tell you I’ve been approached by so many opportunities in the last year then I can count. How many magical juices, lotions, soaps and potions, do I have to turn down until I found the right answer? I don’t have a passion to sell a juice or something else a person can get at Costco or Wal-Mart for dimes. A business partner, Daniel Silva, invited me over to a Real Estate seminar put on by Rich Dad, Poor Dad and I was amazed what I saw. Unfortunately, higher education with Rich Dad came out to be about $80,000 with a mentorship program. On top of that it was high pressure sales with 10 people in the back with credit machines ready to strip you for every worth you got of credit cards.
Soon after, I bought a book series of the Rich Dad Real Estate book at Costco and low and behold I found my answer in this book. Some sharp kid dropped a card that I thought was part of the book. It was a card that was inserted and said “74% of the ‘Wealthy 1%’ are Real Estate Investors/Business Owners. We EDUCATE and CREATE Real Estate Investors and Business Owners. Buy wholesale properties that CASH FLOW nationwide. Create MULTIPLE and MASSIVE Income Streams, JOIN a community to support you in business.”
This blew me away. I called the number and got recorded information. I attended a business briefing in my local area and found out that I can do what Rich Dad’s Education offers for a quarter of what they charge and on top of that you’re plugged in with a community of like minded thinkers. Nouveau Riche education has changed the way I see Real Estate. It’s not about the look of the property, it’s about the financial numbers. I use to be so caught up in falling for the look of the place rather than the return on my numbers. The tax strategies alone have saved me thousands in going through a specific corporation for my businesses and how to structure them. If you haven’t attended an intensive (teachers from the college flying out to your local area and teaching you), you need to attend (especially because they’re free for you but priceless of what they can do to you. These are by invitation only).
Additionally, if you didn’t make $12,000 or more last month in whatever you’re doing, don’t be afraid to ask me how. I referred 3 people to the college and the company paid me a referral fee. I made $36,000 that night. I’m going to be conservative and ask you the same question I asked the other companies, how many items of your product do you have to sell to make $12,000? Let alone $36,000? It is simply amazing what happens to people when they got the means to invest. Education is something NO ONE can take away from you. When the education teaches you how to invest in a real product, it’s exciting. You see, I spent over $40,000 for my Cal Poly Education in Computer Engineering and I was never taught how to invest or make money. There was no job that was guaranteed. I was just doing what the masses were doing. What my parents wanted me to do. Go to school, get good grades, and get a good job. Unfortunately, my good job at Hewlett-Packard was cancelled the day of my graduation. Hewlett-Packard and Compaq merged the Q1 of 2002 and my manager had to give me the bad news. If I was a negative person, I would have used that to bring me down to the ground and fail in life. I was looking at it as a blessing in disguise to start my first real business. I was able to help others get computer support in the United States versus outsourced phone calls over seas. They loved me to death. It got to the point where I was burning myself out because I was doing all the business marketing, work, and dealing with client issues. I then learn the concept of leverage and hired someone to do all that work for me. The reason most businesses fail is because many people think they can do it better then anyone else. I’m here to tell you there is someone always better then you and that’s ok. Suck it up and enjoy the money that comes in for their efforts.
Education is priceless on what it can shape you to be. If you’re not content of where you are in life, then you need to change. If you want things to change, you have to change (Jim Rohn).
