About Me

The story with "Faint Illusion" began in 2003 during my last year of college. I had my computer and guitar set up in the garage. After realising i could record my guitar i made quite a few tracks and set a goal to create a full cd of my own recordings, no matter how shit it was. i eventually did and decided i should give it a name. "Faint Illusion" was the best i could come up with and i left it at that. Although it wasn't the best name it grew after a while and i think it will stay.As a so called musician, I feel I was never as talented as my peers in high school, however, I could put songs together and create sounds that give some people a bit of a kick (mainly myself). I started with my Ibanez guitar and a 15 watt peavey prac amp, a microphone a mate gave me and a demo recording program. I later bought a game for pc called Music 2000. Using this game i worked out i could create and edit sequenced bass and drum tracks and have progressed from there. Each new song I write and record is better than the last. I now have a couple of decent mics, a 100W Hughes and Kettner Warp 7 and a cheap, but good electric drum kit. ..
