Who Cares

Who Cares are 4 friends from East Meadow who just love all kinds of music. Jon Middleman hand picked each member in the Fall of 1992.Right away there was an undisputed chemistry. Febuary 14 1993 the band debuted at everyones favorite hole in the wall hammerhedz and was well received by the audience. The Band then headed to the studio to record Ponder their First four song demo. Eventually they started playing shows all over the Long Island and New York metro region. Peter Morter president of nassau community concerts at the time recongized the potential the band had and signed on to manage the act.The band rushed to record a new demo called the cultivated kind. With the help of friend Dave Belis, Peter helped break the band out of the new york metro area and into the Upstate Suny Scene. Eventually Peter moved to San Francisco and said goodbye to the band he brought out of the basement. Soon after Craig Belis signed on to manage the band bringing them to another level entirely.The band started to tour upstate more regularly. In 1995 the band recorded their first full length album at late nite studios with engineer Kevin Kelly. The album opened up many doors for the band but was outdated by the time of its release in 1996. So the band headed to Jim Sabella studios in the summer of 1996 to record Radiator People. Released in 1997 the album pushed the band further out on the road. Long time friend Dave Bellis signed on to engineer and road manage the band. Touring for Maine to Pennsylvania the boys were starting to get reconized by the music industry. In 1998 they went back to the studio to record a 4 song demo later named fliping the bird. Touring finally began to take its toll though and the band played their last show in 1999. Recent the band united for a one time show. Jon Middleman is currently in a band called Greyscale managed by Craig Bellis. You can find them on myspace or at www.greyscale.net. Niel is currently enjoying being a father.
