About Me

My home life: I have a son who is the love of my life and the best all around kid any single mom could have. So you want to know about my love life huh? Well, I'm in a terrific relationship and who would have known? Those of you that know me and my past know that I've been in so many screwed up relationships and they have basically gotten me nowhere in life. My boyfriend Larry is great! We compliment each other so well it's almost scary. We rarely argue and if we do we know how to distinguish the flame before it becomes a fire. We know how to communicate like normal people should. Sure we have our "moments" but all in all I have minimal complaints and I love that about who we are as a couple. I love him to death and honestly wish I could have met and married him many years before all of my past anguish. That may sound premature considering that it's been 1-1/2 years but with my past experiences, I don't feel like there is anyone else I would want in my life. I consider myself lucky and I'm very committed to our relationship, but is he??? hmmm haha I know Larry is but it just sounded so good that I had to say it! So anyway, I could sit here and tell you more about it but that would be boring so instead, let's talk about my theory on dating shall we? Dating is a tough business but I've made sure to try and keep my head on straight. I'm very selective and I have my own little wish list of the perfect criteria in what I want the man in my life to be. I continue building that perfect man with each passing relationship. We all do it, it's just a matter of admitting to it. Although that may sound harsh, it's reality. I've had my share of failed relationships which makes me that much stronger and aware as a person each time I try. I've learned that no matter how many times you've been betrayed, hurt, let down, knocked to your knees in despair, and the world seems to weigh on your shoulders, that you need to pick yourself up and go for it all over again. As hard as that may seem and you think you just can't handle it anymore, you've learned something new about yourself each and every single time. Relationships are WORK and unfortunately, most people don't seem to realize that. Other stuff: I try to spend as much time as I can at the shore in the summer. I have several friends and family that own houses and condos there so there's usually a place for me to stay. I hate being stuck in the house in the summer so I'll try to find something to do outside even if it's not something I really want to be doing. I also really enjoy writing my own poetry from time to time if the mood permits. One of these days I'll post one or two in a blog and get your opinions. Oh, and one last random thing... I hate bugs, they freak me out. I just can't stand them and it doesn't matter if they are small or large I just hate all of them. So enough about me and now let's hear a little bit about you...

My Interests

I like everything. It doesn't matter I guess if I have to answer then I'd have to say that I like being outside in the Spring and Fall. I like feeling the warm sun on your face during the day and the chilly breeze when it begins to get dark. It kinda sucks when it's really cold and raining outside but you can always make the best of it by cuddling in a blanket close to someone you love. I really like the winter when it snows, which is probably my favorite time of year. There's nothing more serene to me than staring out of the window watching the some of the snowflakes collect on tree limbs but then others melt away in old puddles (sigh). I also enjoy writing my own poetry as I mentioned above. I do it more for overall mind, body, and soul therapy in general. It's an excellent release for me with the headaches of everyday life. I really like animals even though my cat is the only true pet I own right now.

I'd like to meet:

How about who I'd rather NOT meet instead? No liars, thieves, cheaters, scam artists that claim that that's the way to the world and life in general, or anyone who is irresponsible. I've been down the road of deceit, and realized a little too late that I should have made a u-turn more than 700 miles ago. It's very simple-I just like honest people with a real sense of who they are and where they're going in life. I don't mind risk takers and dreamers but at least have a backup plan if you happen fall.Great quote: "There will always be people in your life that hurt you so what you have to do is keep on trusting and just be more careful about who you trust next time around.

Music:

I love all of it!

Movies:

My favorite? That's a good question that I don't have a good answer for. I do have weaknesses like, anything with Tom Hanks and any type of war or military movie for some reason. Hmmm maybe I have a subconscience fetish? I will watch just about anything though.

Television:

I don't watch much TV at all. I may take in an occasional American Idol episode every now and then but other than that, if I'm watching TV then I'm either REALLY bored or I'm trying to fall asleep. TV always puts me to sleep for some odd reason.

Books:

I don't read much since I don't have a lot of time for it. From time to time you may find me in the self help section of your local Barnes and Nobles sipping a Triple Mocha Venti w/whipped cream. I do believe that men read more than women though. There's always a ton of books or magazines in the bathroom for their "time out". I don't blame them though, what else could you possibly do for a 1/2 hr while stuck sitting on the "john"? Which leads me to a question of curiosity... do they have books and magazines in mens' public rest rooms? hmmm and if not then what the hell do you guys do for that 1/2 hr? Please feel free to send me a message letting me know.

Heroes:

My alarm clock! Thank god it goes off every morning, even though my boyfriend hates me for it since I hit the snooze button a gazillion times before I actually get out of bed. Whose idea was it to put a snooze button on an alarm clock anyway? The inventor is pure genious in my opinion.

My Blog

blah blah blah

Ok so where to begin? There's so much going on in my life right now that it's hard to find a place to start. Let's start with the holidays. I'm not much of a Christmas person but I have to be because ...
