At the tender age of 4, JS discovered a complete new world when his grandad played him his first listen of the legendary Bob Marley, i started to develop a great interest in music, but it was not until I was about fourteen I started song writing. I wrote my first song which I thought sounded good for a first time song writer. Which I also noticed that I had a talent and a future in music.
When I was growing up I spent most of my time listening to Bob Marley & the Wailers, Jimmy Cliff, Shaba Ranks, Beeni Man & Shane Paul.
Bob Marley is one of my biggest inspiration and a music icon. He changed a lot of different people from all over the world with his music.
He also explored reggae music to a lot of international culture which made him a legend in my music dictionary.
I came to England when I was 13 years old which made me think that there was a lot more opportunities and a chance of becoming an international artist.
I formed a small group with 2 of my friends which we called it the Dezel Crew. During that period of time we spent most of our time writing and recording songs. I met a few producers of music which I worked with for a while; but I thought that they didn’t understand me or my music which made it complicated to work with them.
As a underground artist at the moment I am working on my first demo album, which has a lot of different taste’s of music from different areas of my life. My intention is to get my music across to a lot of different people, not just based on one minority or surrounding one topic.
As a reggae and dancehall artist I am looking to work with different artists such as R M B, Uk’s Rap, Base and Drum and any artist that enjoying making fantastic music.
I like to think of myself as a versatile artist a fast writer and a ambitious individual who have a lot to contribute to everyone from my music. At the moment I am looking to get signed to a major record label so I can explore my music and increase my talent.
