Electric trio always looking out for fat grooves and such. They are all jazzed up somewhat but their musical roots lay all over the place. Anything that feels good will be played - experimenting with Radiohead or the Beatles, mixing Donny Hathaway with D'Angelo, going nuts on a Scofield groove or a Hendrix tune... AND of course working on some originals is an (increasingly) important element as well !

In dit elektrisch trio gaan drie gedreven jazz-improvisatoren op zoek naar klank, sfeer, en bovenal groove. De inspiratie wordt geput uit een uiteenlopend repertoire van standards, zij het dan eerder uit de hoek van de soul/r'n'b, de rock- en de popmuziek - niet zozeer Cole Porter of Duke Ellington, wél Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix, Donny Hathaway, The Beatles,... Ook eigen werk komt in toenemende mate aan bod. Met een cocktail van deze warme 'souljazz' én een stevige scheut live-improvisatie schuimt Doo Doo Down enthousiast clubs en café's in het Brusselse en elders af.
Doo Doo Down est un trio electrique ayant chauffé plus d'un club à Bruxelles et en Flandre. Leur spécialité : revisiter des 'standards' de Masters comme Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, The Beatles et des compositions personnelles avec un son chaud bouillant.
Chaque concert est différent mais toujours avec les mêmes ingrédients : groove, blues, improvisation, énergie et folie.
