In the early spring 2007, The Young Family was reborn, ending a ten year silence of the group. With Pam and then Matthew being called into the preaching ministry and Angie's outstanding talent as a Praise and Worship leader, we all found our selves working in a little church in Morgantown, Tennessee, now known as The Rock Assembly Church. The opportunity simply was not there to travel and sing as well as work in the church full-time.
Back in January, the Lord began placing things in order to get the group back into the ministry of Country/Southern Gospel Music. Over the past years, we have had the opportunity to grow spiritually and witness the miraculous power of God in our Church. However, we must realize that our ministry must go beyond the walls of a particular Church and reach out to others in need of the Saving Grace of God. In his unexplainable ways, God began to work in our lives to get us back on the road singing and playing once again. It wasn't long until he let us realize that we were needed in this field of service singing as "The Young Family".
Now, we feel that we are more equipped to minister through song and not just "sing". The group consist of Jackie Young, wife Lillian Young, Pam Young Johnson, Angie Young Dobbs, Matthew Johnson, and long time family friend David Morgan. The Lord has also blessed members of the group with song writing.
It is our desire that God will use our ministry of music and singing to introduce Himself to someone who does not know Him, or to strengthen those who are weak. We hope to see souls won and people blessed through our music and songs.
