SIBYLLINE was established in AD 2004, from the initiative of guitarist- composer Arek Furdal (ex Whisper, Equinox, Trauma, Overload).Following the turbulent events of Overload, Arek Furdal its guitarist and main composer, kept writing material for a new self-financed and produced CD. Shortly, Arek’s decision was to form an entirely new group under the name of SIBYLLINE. The singer for the band was to be his long- time friend, Maciej “Maxx” Koczorowski of the Polish metal gang Chainsaw. In the meantime, Arek decided to move to Britain where he would finalise his musical plans and eventually put together “When Shadows fall”. In winter of 2005 at one of the local gigs in the Surrey area of England, he accidentally met and started collaborating with Bill Taylor, an amazing Scottish bassist and keyboard player. Bill got very committed to arranging and recording the songs with Arek. An experienced drummer Sebastian Gorski of Chainsaw was the last excellent fitting piece to complete the SIBYLLINE jigsaw puzzle.“When Shadows fall”- SIBYLLINE debut CD was recorded in August 2006 in Black Bottle Studio in Torun, Poland. At present, the musicians intend to play and record together and progress in the same direction.
