The Acoustic Spotlight shows are presented by the New Music Alliance. The New Music Alliance was founded by local musicians in the Philadelphia/Bucks County, Pa./New Jersey area to help promote a sense of community and collaboration among local musicians in the area.
The Acoustic Spotlight shows will give local musicians an opportunity to present their music and connect with audiences in an intimate and unplugged enviroment at local music venues throughout the area.
We are also striving to give audiences and true music fans a chance to discover and experience some of the best live acoustic music from some of the best local and national artists.
Unfortunately due to several negative factors that abound within the local music industry, many INCREDIBLE local musicians playing in the acoustic or singer-songwriter genre (who definitely deserve to be heard) cannot find many places to present their music to a live audience except for the occasional tiny coffeehouse gig or open mic night. Because of this, the listening public also ends up missing out by being deprived of opportunities to discover some of the best and probably the most personal music out there. To remedy this, we are working with some great local venues to help give our fellow artists the opportunity to have their voices heard and to get their music out to the public.
So come out and experience for yourselves the incredible amount of talent just waiting to be discovered!!!
