Formed in February 2008 Tracr records (pronounced Tracer) was the product of a new live music campaign in Leyland Lancashire at the Rose and Crown pub in Farington. After CMW Productions teamed up with the venue to promote new live music the only natural progression was to move the process onto putting the music out to a wider audience. In 1978 the genius that was the late Tony Wilson did something very similar and spawned the now legendary Factory Records to primarily showcase the massive abundence of talent that resided in the northwest! We are trying to achieve the same! You've all heard of bands from Manchester and London and Sheffield even Scotland making it big but not too many from Preston! For some reason the sat nav in the London based record comanies vehicles doesnt seem to be able to find Preston or its surrounding areas!! Anyway thats where we come in, of course we all want to make money, but if were being honest our main focus is the music, it always has been and always will be. So thats a brief biography of us, if you have any demos to send in then please do, or if your looking for gigs then let us know as we have our own venue too! You can get us at: Tracr Records 3 Mill Street Farington Leyland Lancs PR25 4QJ
