Benefit Productions

About Me

Well, it started in the Glen Burnie Double T Easter 2008. Kristin Haaland and Ciara Jarrett were sitting at the bar sipping on delicious diner coffee discussing the success of a benefit concert they helped put on just a few nights before. The feeling of helping others was amazing.
About 20 cups of coffee (between the two of them) later Benefit Productions was formed. The details were fuzzy but we basically decided that we really enjoyed putting on shows that entertain people and raise money for those who really need it.
But its not just us, upon deciding to put this whole thing together, Kristin and Ciara knew they couldnt do it alone. So they called in the tightest group of people they knew. John.....the biggest badest scAriest looking mo'fo' to be the head bouncer. Trish, the sweetest most sinciere "big momma" type to handle the people at the door and all our mulah, and then Ryan the sexiest(at this point you know it's Ciara thats writing) smartest music savvy boy in the group to handle band equipment and be the technical director. So there it was, the beginning of Benefit Productions as we know it. Now all we needed was a cause.....
We look for different ligitiment causes and try to put on shows once every 2 months. It's completely non-profit, all the money goes toward the previously determined cause. Our goal for each show is to make the money we used to rent out a venue back and earn a couple hundred profit to donate to whichever cause we choose.
We are Maryland Based.
We are a couple of teenagers with big hearts and pretty clear minds.
We are looking for bands who are interested in helping a cause and getting their names out, and we are looking for different maryland area venues.
We also have our eyes and ears out for a good cause that we could help with.
