About Me

I am a Brit, a Yorkshire Lass who grew up in the County of Kent, almost getting married in beautiful Australia, now living in sunny exile in Los Angeles. When I was 24, my boyfriend, at the time,"Parky" (a sexy plummer; you know...) gave me a guitar ! I, then drove my roommate mad learning to play it. I finally taught myself to play with the help of an "Eagles" book, and found something in my life that I still to this day can't work out how I lived without. Today, music and writing are my therapy. After years of modeling, (always banging away on my guitar and writing song after song) I eventually, somehow, dipped a foot into the music business meeting Producer Richard Perry with my home made demo. He must have liked it as he took me to this dinner where, God! Rod Stewart, was sitting with his manager, and legendary Clive Davis. Being the only girl at the table, I had a blast. I know I turned as red as a beetroot when Richard told everyone I was talented. What a buzz! Even though I never saw any of them ever again. But that moment I knew I had to do it for real. Soon I ended up writing a song called" Therapy" with John Q Public (Michael Bishop) for the movie "Rage the last 25 years of Punk Rock". I also composed and performed a song Produced by Greg De Belles called "Bloody Road" for " Dead End" ; a quirky horror flick with French Director Jean-Baptiste Andrea. I later wrote Lyrics for "Lip Service", a film directed by Shawn Schepps and so on for a few other Hollywood pictures. I performed as a soloist around town and then formed a band with my favourite drummer "Quinton Dennard" guitar players Danny Ferguson and George Foster and bone extravaganza "Jock Ellis”. Together we performed at "The Mint" in Hollywood ,"The Joint", "El Cid", "The Athletic Club" and also "The"Coconut Teaser" to name a few. I spent the first couple of years doing all the open mike's by myself even though I was awful. God what was I thinking! Eventually I have been lucky enough to write and learn from amazing producer, composer and lyricist Yves Dessca whose life has been spent creating unforgettable hits such as "I will survive" and "Move Closer" (better known as the second British National Anthem, haha). Yves not only always encouraged me with my music but bought me into projects with him, and took me under his wing. He is my mentor. He is my dear friend.
