Jim Powers

hi! Jim Powers here. Not the porn guy though, sorry to disappoint. Over the years it has been my pleasure to write some music and record it with some very patient and talented associates. All my efforts would have been for nothing if not for my friends of 40 years Otto Capobianco and Ray Cardona who have stood by me when money was tight or non-existent. I'm a plumber by trade. As much as I love music I dislike the music business. I also think it's a mistake to do something for a living that you really love. Too many compromises involved. So I record as I Can. My late grandfather, Harold Coe toured Europe with Fats Waller in the thirties. He gave up touring to support his family but he still played for decades, and well. I can remember him returning late from a gig, then getting up at 5:00 am to deliver the mail. Once music gets in your blood it's like a virus, and a contagious one, at that. I caught it from him, and I hope to continue.
