Paul Duran, originally from Omega Red, started this band in June 2008 when other guitarist, Ray McKinnon, returned from the Marine Corps. Once Ray returned we got Parker Young, Matt Heffron and Erik Price from Through Blind Eyes to fill the spots. Since then, the band recorded a 5 song demo with Mike Bailey at Dream makers Productions with hopes to have a "melodic" touch no other band from around here had. Lately, the bands been contacted by booking agents from around the area wanting us to play shows with signed bands in and out of the local area. Skratch Magazine's also contacted us wanting us to be on their compilation cd that will be handed out at Danzig’s Blackest of the Black Tour. The bands waiting to hit the recording studio to finish their album in Nov. so keep looking for The Battle Within in your local area.
