Iain Micah Weigert

About Me

When Iain was five, he picked up a guitar that his great-grandfather had built eighty years before. Stealing lessons from his father in their Pacific Northwest log cabin, Iain quickly took to the instrument. Years later, at the Port Townsend Country Blues Festival, he found himself learning from the legendary guitarist: John Cephas. Lessons from the Rev. Robert Jones, Steve James, Corey Harris, Mike Dowling and Ari Eisinger soon followed. Once he was old enough to leave home, Iain moved to New Orleans. He quickly immersed himself in the music scene, while playing shows at every opportunity. Iain is currently an active member in The Rayado Ruffians, The Genial Orleanians, and The Four Bluesmen of The Apocalypse. All three bands eagerly await the release of their first respective albums.
