Fiver hails from the post industrial wreckage of Pittsburgh, PA with the sole desire to tantalize the public with lyrics sweeter than sugar and riffs catchier than STDs. Fiver formed in the spring of 2008 with the initial intention of writing sappy love songs, but quickly refocused their writing pursuits on things much more controversial than peppermint kisses and high school romance.
With dynamic lyrics that range from: “Collars and desks for dollars and checks,†discussing the reality of working a 9 to 5, to the intimate discussions of life and death in lines such as: “Imagine a world where your best friends wait for death to arrive and steal all of your clothes,†Fiver has managed to balance their newly found maturity with their desire to write campfire sing-alongs.
With each member coming from distinct musical backgrounds in western Pennsylvania’s music scene, these boys define their music as something a little different from what you've been hearing in Pittsburgh recently. The members have shared the stage with national acts including: Further Seems Forever, Sugarcult, Motion City Soundtrack, Streetlight Manifesto and many more. Their professional yet youthful approach toward their audience makes for excellent stage shows and unforgettable evenings.
