Hi, my name is Michelle Hill and I am a singer/songwriter. I have been writing songs for about ten years, but just recently had the desire to do something with them. About six years ago I was introduced by a mutual friend to Doug DeForest. Doug is a musician and producer and works with Jon Raney at Raney Studios in Drasco, Arkansas. Doug arranged and produced all of my demos at Raney Studios. These guys are amazing and I am truly blessed for having the opportunity to work with them. With demos in hand, about three years ago I went to Nashville and started going to music conferences, entering song competitions, and handing out demos. I won a few small competitions and met a few people in the business, but never really got anywhere. I joined several organizations including NSAI, Taxi, Song U, Song Ramp, etc., but I never fully utilized these organizations to my full advantage. However, I did make a few connections and contacts. I also joined BMI and have had all of my music copyrighted. My dream is to one day have one of my songs recorded by a professional artist and play on the radio.
