...out of the ash's of S.B.S., came Rainy Day Parade.
we were a band from the early 90's. we were originally called S.B.S. S.B.S. started out of Atholton High School and took Columbia by storm. really we did. we enjoyed many successes, playing with Akamili(?), The Hindered and many other Columbia bands.
we released our first tape, "We're Just Fighting" in 1990 to rave reviews. 2 of the songs that you hear on our page are from this tape, "More Love" & "Noddegamra". we were also, fortunate enough to play every period of the yearbook assembly during that year and the famed "Lake-Aid", which helped us secure many fans. we had t-shirts made, along with the tape and we were on our way.
unfortunately, with the end of schooling came college commitments. we lost one of our founding members, drummer Thom Limbert. we decided to venture on recruiting drummer, Steve Kirshner, from Hammond High School. with Steve in tow, we changed the name of the band to Rainy Day Parade and went into Secret Sounds studio to record 4 new songs.
we continued on, playing various venues in the Baltimore and Columbia area. things continued to change for us and we lost members. we had our good friend Jon Parvis join us on guitar and famed drummer Steve Kilgallon join us on drums. we lasted a bit longer. but, life and other commitments got in the way.
so, here we are today getting this music onto digital format and off of the tapes. you can tell the quality isn't all there, due to the fact that the tapes are over 15 years old. but, i'm sure you will enjoy as we are going back in time and hearing the music again. let's see what happens in the future.
