About Me

I love my life, it's hectic but I still manage to surf a little and that makes me super happy. I am an insurance broker/risk manager for nonprofits..it's not the most exciting job in the world but it's good work and my office is on PCH and 12th which rules. I am married to ACE, ultimate good guy. We live in HB Tahiti Vacation house. It's relaxing. I like to invite friends over for BBQ's and sing-alongs. We have a little place somewhere in Mex that we go to sometimes to get away from cell phones. I love the warm night breeze, the sand in my toes, salt water on my skin, being underwater, running (not really but I'm trying to love it), sunshine, the kids, playing texas holdem with my bro's. I only won ONCE. I am waiting until they come out with a hybrid EOS to trade in my SUV, so don't hassle me about my gas guzzler...I am not ignorant, I have a plan. I try not to drive unless I have to.

My Interests

SURFING, mostly. Getting in shape slowly. I used to really be into HOT SPRINGS...still love them but need to travel to new ones farther away and that just ain't happenin right now. I've been to 27 different hot springs, he are just a few pics:

I'd like to meet:

Life-long friends. I like finding old friends on here!!! Music makers. Raspberry and blackberry eaters. Trailblazers. People who have lived out of their car not in their own hometown. Great storytellers who make me LAUGh and CRY. Island dwellers. "Great" chefs. My great-great grandparents when they were young. My sister 35 years ago. JC. Buddha. Kahlil Gibran. Herman Melville (I guess he falls under Island Dwellers). Captain Cook. Ocean lovers...Did I say that somewhere already? Anybody who wants to go surfing with me.

Music:

Garage family jam sessions. Playing piano with Zoe. Bedtime worship with the girls. Anything homemade. Anything really, but I think I listen to alot of Reggae.

Movies:

Waterworld. I want those webbed hands and feet and gills. I have a a really bad memory, I really like people who can recite the lines to movies but I only know one... leave the gun, take the canoli.

Television:

Survivorman even though he totally cheated in the Amazon- chickened out when he ran into the jaguar. And he wore a lifevest under his shirt when he crossed the river in another episode. Planet Ocean, or whatever it's called. Reality TV late night when I can't sleep.

Books:

All kinds of extreme survival stories Concrete books (CHENG) Cookbooks Surfing stories, sailing stories Diaries of Mother Theresa The Radical Misadventures of Miss Dufour

Heroes:

My mom and dad- they are still IN LOVE and happy, traveling the world and building DOMINO, a 66 foot catamaran to cruise around the world. I love watching them dance together, it's like they are ONE. Smiley, happy people. ASA DUFOUR, HUNTINGTON BEACH STATE LIFEGUARD!!!
