I have been singing all my life, mostly in choirs and choruses through all my school years. Then I formed a couple of girl groups along the way as well. In the 8th grade I thought I was one of the Supremes. I have always loved music - as long as I can remember. It has played a big part in my life, so much so that I can just hear an "oldie" and remember just where I was and what I was doing when I used to listen to that song. I identify events in my life with the music that scored that event! :)While living in NY, I started a Country Band which basically produced 1 marriage (not my own by the way), but a good one that is still going strong. Then I met Nikki, a friend in NY and we started singing together - Blues and R&B. That was it for me. I have been singing the blues ever since. When I moved to LA about 6 years ago, I met Harriet Schock, the grammy-nominated songwriter (Ain't No Way To Treat A Lady) and started studying songwriting with her. It changed my life and now I am writing my own songs, as well as singing all my favorite blues classics. About the same time, I started going to Kulak's Woodshed in the Valley. I have a whole family of singer/songwriters from that association. In May of last year I had to leave LA and I now live in Atlanta. It was a difficult move and I got away from the music for a brief time due to other things going on in my life, but I am back now. I want to thank my friend, Larry Griffith for getting me up to sing with his band last week. It revived my soul and I am writing and singing again. So keep posted....there's gonna be some changes goin' on.

Frustration
I am so frustrated because I thought I had set up an artist's page here in MySpace, but evidently I didn't do it right and now have to establish a new email address, a new MySpace page so I can upload... Posted by on Tue, 19 Aug 2008 11:31:00 GMT
