Cabbagetown

I am here for Friends

About Me

I am a well-known, important and distinctive neighbourhood in the east end of downtown Toronto, rich in culture, history, and diversity. This page is devoted to my history and my culture, my beautiful streets, my events, my residents; my past, my present, my future, my happenings, my parks and green spaces, my cemeteries, my schools, my restaurants, pubs, clubs and places to shop, and my points of interest.Over the coming months this page will take shape to reflect and display community events and issues, news, and all businesses. It will also boast a sizable photographic essay to take place over the summer months in it's first phase, which is hoped to be the most comprehensive collection of photos of present-day Cabbagetown on the WWW. Photos will include the wonderfully preserved homes of course, but also a cross-section of the community and its residents. This page will reflect Cabbagetown from an historical perspective indeed, but primarily exists to represent the Cabbagetown of 2008 and all its diversity.Any and all suggestions or submissions are welcome on this labour of love.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Everyone that has an interest in me, likes visiting me, cares about keeping my streets clean, my citizens free from harm, and a place where strangers are kind to strangers, friends are made fast and a sense of community spirit is evident. All are welcome.I wish to meet business owners, shoppers, community activists, all who live here and play here.
