Some Place Safe

Some Place Safe has reformed with some fresh faces and have been working hard on developing their repertoire. The members are Robert Borg(Vocals), Adam Sbriglio(L. Guitar), Tim Rhodes(Drums), Shaun Demicoli(Bass), and David Boyd(R.Guitar). Their music is laden with catchy melodies, distorted guitar riffs and tight drum and bass arrangements. This is evident in songs such as "Hold The Sun" and "United Souls". This clever mix of repetition and musicianship keep listeners tapping their feet and singing the choruses time and time again.While most of their repertoire is heavy rock based, there is a lighter side to Some Place Safe. Ballads such as "My Angel" and "More and More" demonstrate the band's versatility. The band's influences range from Bon Jovi to Matchbox 20 and basically everything in between. While the band's sound leans toward the late 80s, the demographic that this music applies to is quite broad(from teenagers right through to adults.) The band stands by the saying "All Killer, No Filler" and are constantly writing material for a more diverse live show.The band is currently acquiring gigs around the Melbourne area. They are aiming to play at the Barbukkah Lounge in Brunswick, The Tote in Collingwood, the Iceberg Bar in Williamstown and the Espy in St Kilda with dates to be advised.
