We're on location at the hottest night clubs from the east coast to the west. Keeping the streets informed with local happenings, exclusive access to your favorite artists in a broad range of musical genres. And keeping the community involved and in tune with this years 2008 Presidential Election. Simply put, WE ARE THE STREETZ!
A little about me? I've been down since day one. I am the current owner of Making Money Management, a successful promotional and artist management company, which I began in March 2003. I began promoting initially in February 2001 with Streetz Magazine, while interning as a VA street team member for Defjam Records. And I can credit these two companies for educating me in the promotional and marketing fields. Respect to Gerald Daniels aka "G", Chris Bryant (Publisher of Streetz Magazine) and Keith Barham aka "Brougham" for guiding my success as a promoter. Tre Styles (Current Defjam VA Street team Coordinator), Batman, and Adrian, who were and still are holding it down. Also to Winston Stewart aka "Akil" or "Ak"(Chief of Operations for Streetz Magazine) for patience through the troubling times. Bless Picasso of Black Pentagon Entertainment, blessing the streetz with real and original hip hop, and many others.
Making Money Management began as somewhat as a tribute to the lessons I learned from promoting, and the individuals that I was graced to have encountered along the way. After two years of learning how the game works, I decided what better way to prove what I learned from the game than by stepping out on my own two and showing that I have what it takes. That's not to say it was easy. I'm still to this day in the beginning stages. And it's 2008. That's five years since I started. But I wanted to do things right. Like completing my Associates Degree in Business Management/Administration at Thomas Nelson Community College, and Completing my certificate in Real Estate Sales through the Alpha College of Real Estate in Newport News, VA. These will all be neccessary tools that can assist in maintaining a one step ahead advantage in the business of promoting. Because it is a business. And credentials do matter. They aren't required but they help. That wasn't a shot at promoters who go straight from the streets. Sometimes street knowledge proves best. There are many among us who are born naturally with talent. This is what works for me.
