Somewhere around the end of the 80's I was listening through huge piles of records
owned by my brother-in-law. Most of them were electronic disco by 80's hitmachines
that bored the hell out of me. I was about to give up when I found a psychedelic
looking record sleeve showing an afroheaded dude biting into the neck of a
stratocaster. I rolled the record out of the sleeve and put it on the turntable.
After a few cracks I heard Jimi Hendrix play the intro of Johnny B. Goode and I felt
like I got struck by lighting! I was a fanatic BMX rider at the time but that night
everything changed. In the next week I sold my bike and bought my first stratocaster
and started to try and figure out how to play Hey Joe and a little later on that fierce
intro of Johnny B. Goode... And that's the story of how I came to be what I am today or
in other words; that's were it all went wrong! ;)
About my band STONEFLY
Starting december 2006 five guys gathered to write and arrange songs and found themselves proud owners of a rock solid repertoire by the end of spring 2007.
Though not afraid to let modern influences blend in, Stonefly stays true to the roots of rock and roll.
