Pleasure (written and arranged by Ky and produced by Anwar Mack) is first and foremost a reflection of Ky’s past intimate experiences. It’s smooth, sexy, sensual sound, and detailed lyrics are designed for the grown and sexy. However! The album titled "Pleasures" consists of 12 songs, which appeals to a variety of different genres of music, which includes: Hip Hop, Pop, and R&B. Like musical influences such as: Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Prince, Babyface, R.Kelly, Donnell Jones and Usher. Ky too has his own unique sound, style, and image.Ky was born and raised in Ville Platte, Louisiana. Like many others, he too began singing at a very early age in the church choir. Legends such as: Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, Betty Wright, Luther Vandross, Teddy Pendergrass, The Temptations, and many others inspired him. His 2004’s performance of his rendition of Usher’s 1 hit single Burn earned him a top spot in Houston’s Hip Hop/ R&B radio station KBXX 97.9 The Box’s Hattas Idol, where he left a great impression on the judges R&B recording artist Letoya Luckett and Rapper Bun B. of UGK. Bun B. stated after watching Ky’s performance “ Man you are good! You were .., you didn’t miss a note, you look sound like a star, and you look like a star. Hell! I think you just might be the next big star!” Only three months after the Hattas Idol competition ended, Ky received a call from Ricardo Campbell (a local producer from Ville Platte, Louisiana) and Ryan West (a songwriter also from Ville Platte, Louisiana) who presented him with and offer of free recording, studio time, and production of his first album.Ky accepted the offer and 2 months later he recorded over 20 songs written or co-written by him! Since then he has written, recorded, and collaborated with other local artist from Houston, TX such as: Rapper / Producer D. Blunt and C- Throwd of B.S.O Records. He recently recorded two hot new single’s that includes Irresistible (produced by: Anwar Mac) and Unhappy (produced by Fly of Mass Productions) both songs written and arranged by Ky himself. Recently Ky teamed up Producer Kris Keyz of Kris Keyz Productions in Elgin, TX and is currently working his new album. They have already completed a 5 song demo all written and arranged by himself and produced by "Kris Keyz".
