Johnny VIBE is earning the reputation as one of the versatile voices of the South-East dance scene. He is an artist who can successfully blend club anthems with underground sounds. In doing so, Johnny creates a unique brand of House Music enjoyed both in the clubs and in the underground. His style and music selection consistently crosses from dirty-sexy HOUSE to slammin 80's remixes that leave you wanting more.
I grew up with the Motown sound from my parents. The big band and beats of the 60s and 70s is the backbone of the great HOUSE music of today.. It just makes your body move!
With nearly 10 years of music experience from playing the piano and guitar, Johnny got his DJ start in his hometown of Johnson City, TN. His first taste of the dance scene was at the infamous Planet Nightclub in 2000. Resident DJ Tommy Breese took Johnny under his wing, giving him one lesson prior to opening every Saturday night. After spending countless hours perfecting his mixes, buying records, and recording his mixes- those hours of practicing paid off. DJ Breese gave Johnny his shot at the last hour of one Saturday night. After that hour, the rest was history.
Over the past 6 years, Johnny has made major strides in bringing the music to the people. At his current residence in Greenville, SC Johnny started GRUV-Tuesdays at the BLU Martini and is currently working a new scene in Johnson City, TN @ Stir Fry Café, - hosting some of the areas largest and sexiest parties in the Tri-Cities. Venturing out, Johnny has made his mark in venues all across the nation! From Charlotte to Atlanta, Daytona Beach to Detroit, JV knows how to ROCK any crowd! When hes not out spinning the dance floor into a frenzy, Johnny is collaborating with Greenvilles own, DJ Manifest with personal productions and remixes of classic club anthems.
My reward is bringing the music that changes people from the inside out.. Dance music is a release to let everything go and feel the music with your body and soul. To experience others having the time of their lives to the music that you bring to their ears, it doesnt get much better!
