V.I.P. Street feeding is the heart of the SeattleDreamCenter. Starting in July 1991 in Everett, Washington on the corner of Colby and Hewitt Ave. The goal was to feed and minister to the homeless, hopeless, helpless and hungry. The feeding was moved six years later to PioneerPark in Downtown Seattle in April 1997. Now over a decade later we have fed thousands of men, women and children with hot pizza, chips, cookies and juice. A favorite missions and community service opportunity for students and churchesThe SeattleDreamCenter and Dr. Raymond Hampton have been recognized by City of Seattle officials for their outstanding service and commitment to those in need in the Seattle area. Adopt-a-Block is our way of changing the Seattle area one block at a time. It’s more than just picking up trash, cleaning houses, and watering plants. It’s building a relationship with people in a community that is simply left up to the government to maintain. The first Adopt-a-block was done at the Rainier Vista housing projects in the inner city of Seattle in 1997.Jesus commanded us to love each other and that is the heart behind Adopt-a-Block. Our goal is to find the hurts and the needs of the people on each block and meet those needs through our own labor and the love of Christ. Adopt-a-Block allows us to minister to thousands of people a week and show them all the love of Jesus.
The Easter Eggstravaganza is a yearly event that we host during the Easter holiday season. It is often referred to as the largest Easter Egg Hunt in the inner city of Seattle. The admission is free but he experience is priceless, with fun games, food, an exciting egg hunt and a kid focused messages people of all ages can be inspired by. This event, which is open to the public, is geared to create fun family memories. With multiple traditional carnival games as well as creative games unique to the Dream Center team the first few hours of this event is packed with non-stop fun. Our stage show features local music, dance and performing arts groups as well as stage games and an uplifting message by one of our staff members. The main event, out Easter Egg Hunt, is filled with over ten thousand Easter Eggs filled with candy. It is only a matter of minutes before every child’s basket is filled; but more importantly every child has the opportunity to have their hearts filled with the love of Jesus.
