About Me

I have played drums since I was 14...that's 43 years now. I'm not as good as I should be...and not as bad as I could be. Just an average time player...nothing fancy. My most memorable oppurtunity was when bassist Leon Wilkeson asked me to audition for Skynyrd in 1972 to give them 2 drummers. I had already received my draft notice to Viet Nam and never had the chance to try out. That was a bummer! But later, I was fortunate to get to work with Jackie Wilson, Eddie Middleton, Percy Sledge, Lee Greenwood, Shot Jackson, Johnny Paycheck, Pam Tillis, Canned Heat , John Sebastian and, of course, the great Willie Mac. Very fond memories...but that part of my life is over. Playing in church orchestra now and occasionally doing studio work locally. But, other than that, I am content to be a father and granddad. It can't get more rewarding than that. ..
