In no particular order... literature, football, philosophy, travel, cooking, eating, going into the coutryside, writing, pontificating (best word for it), working out, running, cycling, theatre, films and getting twatted
Generally nice people with something interesting to say. Bit edgy about all this online community stuff, but I'll give it a chance. I like people who see the world with some objectivity. BEyond themselves. I'm fed up with people who think they can patronise, preach and talk incessantly about themselves. I know that's a problem on the gay scene, but it comes from a lot of people who criticise it themselves. Different people fascinate me though, so campness, machismo, pretentiousness, sarcasm...all these interested traits that help to make us characters are fine. I just don't like twats. but then, who does? Failing that, who else would I like to meet? Wouldnt mind being left alone in a room with Danny Jones from McFly ;-)Gays from both Sheffield and Brighton would be cool too, actually.
Trance, Hard House, Funky House (less so), older stuff too I guess. Quite like the lighthouse family, Bob Marley, Stereophonics, Tracy Chapman. My Favorite band (though they aren't really a band) is Faithless. And to be honest, electronic music is my main love. Lyrics are generally just crap poetry anyway... not enough meaning to warrant being as pretentious sounding as they are
Would it be inappropriate to say porn? Bit late now. Unforgiven, Lock Stock, Snatch, The Libertine, The Offence, K-Pax, Usual Suspects, anything with Clint Eastood shooting people, Layer Cake, Educating Rita, The History Boys
Will and Grace, Desperate Housewives (right, gay stuff out the way). Red Dwarf was a passion of mine as a child. Imagination and comedy. Friends relaxes me, the documentary channels feed me, property programmes evoke something (I think my inner business mind) and football rules everything. Lets not forget big brother though! Oh and the culture show
Too many books to mention. I'm one of those people who often thinks the last book they read is their favourite. Anything that opens my eyes, says something worthwhile and makes me think about what its doing. Its about capturing the essence of something. That's what gets me excited.
Me, myself and I. Seriously though, my Mum and Dad (aren't i sweet) and then a few others. I'm inherently suspicious of the whole heroes thing, as there are a lot of people I like/respect for a lot of different reasons but don't seek to emulate. Tony Adams, for example. Who else, hmmm. Tony Blair (probably a contraversial choice). That bloke who tried to blow up Margaret Thatcher gets my nod too. Graham Greene maybe. Aldous Huxley.
