Deuce first formed in the fall of 1995 with Ralph Ritter (aka Rob Summerville) Aaron Greer, Jim Rega, and Billy Greer. The first show in full costume and make-up was on Feb 23rd at Blondie's in Greensburg, PA. After doing an extensive amount of shows in 1996, Jim Rega was replaced on the drums by current member, Bill Beggs. Bills's first show was Christmas night in 1996 and was ironically at Blondie's also. Deuce continued to do numerous shows throughout '96 to '98 with this line-up. After Aaron chose to leave the band, Deuce called it quits.
Then in 2000, Billy Greer and friend Dave Douglas were forming a Bon Jovi tribute band that wasn't really working out when Dave asked, "Hey, why don't we give Deuce a shot?" Deuce reformed. Bill Beggs signed on again and Rob Shine came in as Ace. Rob was with Deuce for a short period and then was replaced by current Ace, JJ Mason. This new Deuce line-up played shows in numerous states and the biggest venues in the Pittsburgh area, including Heinz Field. After a 3 year run, Deuce decided to take hiatus in the summer of 2003.
In the spring of 2008, the 4 members of the 2003 line-up sat down for drinks after 5 years and decided it was time to play our "Deuce" roles once more... So we dusted off the costumes, relearned the "licks," and rehearsed the choreography to once again bring you what we think to be one of the coolest Kiss Tributes known as, "Deuce."
So to the fans, Deuce is back for you!!!
