Ophelia Smith

Ophelia Smith was born and raised in Nevis & St Kitts and landed on English soil at the age of 19. Not long after her arrival, she accepted the Lord as her personal Saviour and has remained faithful ever since.It was in England, Ophelia met her now-husband of 42 years, Vassel. Together they have six children - Matthew, Luke, Rebekah, Annette, Patricia and Sophie who have all continued in their mother’s musical legacy.As a highly active and valued member of her local church and community, Ophelia’s ministry extends beyond her title of an ordained Missionary, but includes visiting the sick, being a prayer leader and an encourager to many across the country.Ophelia’s music ministry began from an early age, singing in choirs. Ophelia was content continuing on this path once she came to England. Over the years she has sung in many choirs and continues to do so until this day. She has written nearly one hundred songs often times receiving inspiration in the night through dreams. Ophelia has stated on many occasions “They’re not my songs. The Lord has revealed them to me and I don’t believe He gave them to me for me alone, but they’re for everybody to know and to hear.”‘Songs of Revelation’ showcases the songs that the Lord has revealed to Ophelia throughout her lifetime, and she takes none of the credit for herself, but duly places it all on God. Only a small fragment of the amount of songs that have been revealed to Ophelia throughout the years, she believes this album will inspire and encourage listeners.
