Le groupe est créé en août 2007. Les membres sont issus de formations diverses telles que TRAGOS, LOLA DICE, IN CHAOS THEORY et PSYCOSE. Dans celles-ci, ils se forgent une expérience et ils partagent la scène avec des groupes comme OESTRE, PLEYMO, ETHS, PUNISH YOURSELF, LES WAMPAS, … Le but de DROWN YOUR SORROWS est de créer une musique simple qui allie à la fois émotion et violence à travers des riffs massifs. Les textes traitent de la guerre, des vices, les problèmes de sociétés mais aussi le renfermement sur soi. Voulant faire passé un message positif à travers une musique vindicative. DROWN YOUR SORROWS entre en studio fin mai 2008 après avoir partager leur première scène avec ORDALIA, groupe principal acteur de la scène metal auvergne. Au Labo Chantal Huzine, le groupe est dirigé par Dominique TASSIN, technicien du son et ami du groupe. Ce dernier qui a travaillé sur divers styles et artistes tels que, Jean VERDU, Josue FEBLES, … Fin septembre, né le premier EP de DROWN YOUR SORROWS intitulé « A Last Second To Repent ». Celui-ci est entièrement autoproduit mais également subventionné par la MJC de Montluçon. Salle qui a programmé des groupes de renommé nationale tels que GOJIRA, DAGOBA, LOFOFORA, S-CORE, BLACK BOMB A, L’ESPRIT DU CLAN, …Pour l’occasion de la sortie de L’EP, DROWN YOUR SORRWS partage une scène avec SHALL REMAIN et PRIMAL AGE. Le disque est disponible chez les disquaires régionaux, Gibert Musique (Clermont-Ferrand 63), Rolling-Rock (Clermont-Ferrand 63), Troc’à ’zik (Montluçon 03) et sera disponible dans les FNAC de Clermont-Ferrand et Bourges mi-janvier 2009.Début novembre 2008, le groupe souhaitant faire grandir la puissance et l’efficacité des morceaux, il intègre un second guitariste Eric GIRAUD.DROWN YOUR SORROWS, compose actuellement, recherche un label et recherche aussi des dates de concerts.
