About Me

THE TOASTMEN are a Rock n' Blues act from the Windsor area. They've managed to entertain a great number of people from all walks of life at many clubs and events throughout Windsor and surrounding areas. They first jumped on the scene back in 1992 as THE POWDERED TOASTMEN and, with the exception of a short hiatus in 2005, haven't stopped performing since. It was clear early on that the band had close ties with the sound of the Tragically Hip. Realizing their strengths, the band decided to pursue a side tribute project aptly titled THE HIP MISSION. In following years, with the uprise of grunge, they found themselves also taking on a Pearl Jam tribute titled VITOLOGY. As grunge came and went, so did the call for such tribute acts and THE POWDERED TOASTMEN decided to continue on as a rock radio cover band. A handful of personnel changes and the demands of life in general (work, family) caused the band to take a short break in 2005. Unable to deny their passion for performing, the band regrouped and dropped the first part of their name, simply becoming THE TOASTMEN. Recharged and ready to entertain, the band also changed their format from top 40 radio rock to a set of red hot blues numbers that anyone could identify with and enjoy. With soulful vocals, white hot guitar riffs, and a rock solid rhythm section, THE TOASTMEN have something to offer to anyone who can appreciate the power and passion of music.Myspace Layouts @ JellyMuffin.com ..
