Chuang’s Dream

'Did Chuang Tzu dream he was the butterfly, Or the butterfly that it was Chuang Tzu?' (Li Bai)Hi, I'm Phil (the bloke in the black T-Shirt sat next to the sea). I've been playing guitar and doing various musical things on and off for years now. I'm relatively new to the whole home-recording-and-putting-stuff-on-myspace-thing, but I thought it was time I had a go. Anyone familiar with the complicated technical stuff involved in recording will notice that I'm still learning how to do it - there are a few technical glitches to be ironed out, but I'll be adding new tracks and maybe tweaked versions and mixes of existing ones as I go along. I have plenty more pieces of music in development, with the idea being that at some point I'll have an album's worth of stuff - a day I'm not looking forward to, as I may then feel compelled to get myself a proper job.The opening lines of the poem above reflect something of my broader interests and of the general theme that this is all about. Which reminds me, I really ought to thank Bruce Lee for going to all the trouble of appearing on the track 'Being Water,' despite the considerable inconvenience of being dead these last 35 years.Be water, my friends...Layout made by
