Solar plexus is a collection of songs often played in a oceanfront garage outside Biddeford Maine. A number of after work parties were the setting for David Mullen and Shelby Plante to collaborate musically and entertain the crowd, and mostly themselves. Some of the songs were written right there in the garage, while others are over 13 years old. Their new cd is a collection of some of their favorites.
The visit to the studio was a reunion of sorts, as they hadn't seen each other, let alone practiced together, in a whole year! And 8 hours later the cd was done.
Their influences differ greatly as Shelby is a big fan of Eminem, Tevin Campbell and Whitney Houston. David into much heavier music and fronts the grunge band Blisster as well as playing bass for the metal band Dead by 27.
