About Me

This is Lyrebird, our brand new project and home of the menagerie we like to call our imagination. There is so much wonderful music out there that both of us knew that what we most wanted to do was lace our own music with as much of it as possible. If you come see us live you'll probably think: flamenco, rock, funk, reggae, country, charleston, ska... and you'd be right. Needless to say we both have hugely extensive record collections with everything from Akufen to Art Tatum and Arvo Part. With a little help from our friends we are busy getting our first Lyrebird EP ready, working title: Fools, Death and Wolves.. We really enjoy writing and performing these songs. We hope you enjoy stopping by and that you come see us play our hearts out live sometime.
